WHY STUDY IN POLAND?

High Quality Universities

Poland has more than 450 Higher Education institutions. Polish schools follow regulations of the Bologna Process that unifies education in the European Union and in program partnering countries. This means that an educational qualification obtained in Poland is recognized internationally and opens doors to further education in all the countries participating in the Bologna Process.

Polish Information Technology (IT) graduates are twice over world champions in group programming. Polish astronomers and chemists also belong to the world league.

European Qualification at Low Cost

Poland is a European country, yet the living costs are still lower than anywhere else in Europe. This means lower tuition fees and cheaper student life!

Indian student with a goal to study in Europe can consider Poland as one of their top options for affordable education.

Tuition fees start from less than 1500 EUR per year. Compared to the average fees of private universities in France, Germany, the UK or Scandinavia, this might be a big saving at the start of your studies.

Poland is a Part of the Socrates–Erasmus Programme

Since 1998, Poland has been part of the Socrates–Erasmus programme and today more than 300 Polish Higher Educational Institutes participate. In 2013 alone, around 10000 students from all over Europe came to Poland, mostly choosing universities in Warsaw, Poznan Krakow, Wroclaw and Lodz. The other good news is that if your country is in the Socrates–Erasmus network, you most probably won’t need a visa to come to Poland.

Scholarships for Non-EU Students

If your country does not belong to the Socrates-Erasmus network, there are still a handful of opportunities. Each year, a considerable number of scholarships for non-EU foreign students are launched. Most of them are dedicated to students from Eastern European Partnership countries: Armenia, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Moldova and Ukraine. The best way to find out is to contact the Polish embassy in your country, as they usually coordinate bilateral student exchange programmes.
